IPL Scam: Gurunath Meiyappan, India Cements to Reply to Supreme Court Panel's Show Cause Notice
Gurunath Meyiappan, a former Chennai Super Kings official and the son-in-law of suspended BCCI boss N. Srinivasan was indicted of betting during the Indian Premier League 2013.

Lawyers of former Chennai Super Kings official Gurunath Meiyappan and India Cements will appear before a Supreme Court-appointed panel, responding to a show cause notice issued to them. The panel will decide on the quantum of punishment to be handed to CSK and Meiyappan. Meyiappan, the son-in-law of suspended BCCI boss N. Srinivasan was indicted of betting during the Indian Premier League 2013. (Dalmiya returns as BCCI Boss)
The Supreme Court-appointed panel under Justice RM Lodha had issued show cause notices to Meiyappan and Raj Kundra (Rajasthan Royals) seeking their reply on the quantum of punishment for betting during IPL matches in 2013.
India Cements, the owners of CSK, had also been issued a similar notice. The Panel will hear Raj Kundra and Rajasthan Royals' case on on March 12 (Thursday).
The Supreme Court appointed the powerful Lodha Commission on January 22 this year, the day it delivered its verdict on the IPL scam after almost 18 months of hearing.
