South Africa's fast bowlers reduced Ireland to 48 for five, with Kyle Abbott finishing with figures of four for 21.

Man of the Match - Hashim Amla! Says he is fortunate that his side got a good start. Adds they had wickets in hand so they had a go after the bowlers and is thankful that it came off. Credits his teammates for batting so well. He is happy with this win as it doesn't matter whom it comes against in this game. He doesn't care how long it takes to score a ton as a hundred is a hundred. Credits his teammates once again for maintaining the same intensity throughout the game.
Balbirnie and Kevin O'Brien tried their best to hang in there but it was always too much to ask for against this quality bowling attack. South Africa were trying with different bowling combinations as eight different bowlers were used today in their innings. Kyle Abbott finished with his best bowling figures of 4/21 while Morkel grabbed three. South Africa should be happy with this win. Ireland should take the positives as they were giving some fight throughout.
South Africa have completed a comprehensive victory here at the Manuka Oval against Ireland! They posted a huge total on the board first up, thanks to tons from Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis. Their bowling was of top quality as well as Ireland were reduced to 48/5 at one stage. Abbott and Steyn ran through the Irish top order and that destroyed Ireland's chance of chasing down a record total in World Cups.
OUT! You miss, I hit! Full and straight, Dockrell backs away and goes for another big shot. He misses it completely on this occasion and his off stump is disturbed. Third scalp for Morkel. SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY 201 RUNS!
