With the Indian Premier League team's given the deadline of October 31 for declaring the names players they want to retain or put up for auction, it's an interesting few days on the cards ahead. And the biggest speculation that's making round is whether Sourav Ganguly is finally going to call it day as player from the league?
Talking to Bengali daily, Ganguly has reportedly expressed his desire to be off the action. He has even conveyed his wish to the Pune Warriors officials, who reportedly, have agreed to part with him.
In their first year, Yuvraj Singh was the captain for Pune. Due to his illness, he couldn;t be a part of the team this year as Sourav Ganguly took over the mantle.
It is being speculated that with Yuvi back in the fold, he will return to the position. Or else, Michale Clarke's one-year contract will re-done and the Aussie captain may take over the Pune captaincy as well.
Though it is not sure whether Ganguly would like to take up the role of mentor, or whether he has been approached for it too, the former India captain himself isn't willing to become a full-time coach just yet
