IPL 2012: Chennai ticket counters draw big crowds

A large number of Chennai Super Kings fans gathered at the MA Chidambaram Stadium as the IPL counter ticket sales opened on Sunday.
Fans stood in long queues to buy the tickets for the tournament that starts April 4. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will play the first match of the league against Mumbai Indians.
Apart from the counters of the MA Chidambaram stadium, fans can also book their tickets online for the Twenty20 extravaganza, starting April 4, on www.chennaisuperkings.com, the IPL franchise said in a statement.
The ticket counters at the MA Chidambaram stadium are open from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
The denomination of tickets for the matches to be staged in Chennai are Rs 700 for A, B, C lower tiers, Rs 1200 for - ; A, B, C upper tiers, Rs 3000 for T 3 MCC area, Rs 5000 for pavilion terrace and Rs 7000 for Anna pavilion.
The prices of hospitality seats are Rs 8000 for Boxes A, B, C and Rs 15000 for Box D.
