Durban:
South African skipper Graeme Smith has been ruled out of Sunday's Twenty20 International against India because of a hand injury.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday said that Smith will miss the twenty20 match but would be fit to play in the five-match ODI series starting from January 12.
Smith is the third cricketer to be injured after all-rounder Proteas Jacques Kallis and India opener Gautam Gambhir during the three-match Test series.
Kallis will miss the first two ODI because of a rib injury, which he suffered while batting in the first innings of the third Test.
Left hander Gambhir has been ruled out of the entire one-day series because of an elbow injury he sustained at Newlands.
India will take on South Africa in the only Twenty20 International on Sunday in Durban.
