Right then! 266 is what Pakistan Women have in front of them and for a side that has struggled with the bat, they will have to play out of their skins to chase this down. Pakistan bowlers struggled initially but Anam Amin provided the breakthrough they were looking for. They couldn't keep the run flow in check but Nida Dar struck twice in the 19th over and that brought Pakistan back in the game. The spinners bowled exceedingly well in the middle overs and did well to contain runs. The bowlers got wickets at timely intervals and did a good job to keep things tight at the back end as well. But 32 runs in the last 2 overs will definitely hurt them. They missed a couple of chances in the game and had they taken it, they could have restricted NZ to a much lower score.

New Zealand started very well and both, Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates showed some aggression straightaway. However, Devine departed soon. Suzie Bates and Amelia Kerr then stitched a nice partnership of 68 but Kerr and Amy Satterthwaite holed out in the same over and that put New Zealand in a little trouble. However, Bates kept building partnerships and notched up a sensational ton to put NZ in the driver's seat. After she got out, they started losing wickets quickly but Katey Martin played a good knock at the end as New Zealand managed to come back from a mini-collapse and put a fighting total on the board.

Pakistan did well to get wickets in cluster in the end but also leaked quite a few runs and that would hurt them. New Zealand's innings was all about Suzie Bates who scored a terrific ton and also became the first NZ batter to cross 5000 ODI runs. It is her innings and a late flourish from Katey Martin that has helped New Zealand to put up 265 on the board.
