Home Ministry receives new IPL schedule

BCCI officials on Tuesday handed over the revised schedule for this year's Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament to the Home Ministry.

Earlier on Monday, the IPL organisers' bid to break the deadlock over the new dates on Monday suffered a blow with the Centre rejecting the cosmetic changes in the fixture and bluntly telling the organisers to consult the state governments while finalising the dates.

With less than a month to go, the Home Ministry's rejection of the second proposed schedule submitted by the IPL organisers has put a question mark on the fate of the tournament beginning April 10.
