Bizarre Moments of Indian Premier League 2015
Yuvraj Singh had probably his most bizarre cricketing moment in Monday's match between his side Delhi and Kolkata. It was so bizarre one could be confused about whether to call Yuvraj's dismissal a run out or stumped. But Yuvraj's dismissal isn't the only bizarre or unexpected incident which has stood out in the cricketainment this IPL.

- Mayank Agarwal's Superman effort
Sunrisers Hyderabad needed 7 runs off 3 balls to complete Delhi's 168 run Dare. Karn Sharma, who has a penchant for hitting a few sixes, smashed a delivery from Nathan Coulter Nile to the extra cover boundary and at first glance one thought it was a six, a six that would have left Hyderabad needed 1 run off 2 balls to win. But that's when out of nowhere Mayank Agarwal leapt up and literally parried the ball away to stop it from crossing the boundary. He might have scored just 1 with the bat but with one moment on the field he had won Hyderabad the match. (Full IPL Coverage | Fixtures | Points Table)
- The bat that cracked
Gambhir is known to split the field on numerous occasions with his bat but on this rare occasion it was the ball that split his bat. Gambhir might have given his attacking attitude a second thought after he stepped out to Vinay Kumar on the very first ball he bowled. The ball hit the bat but Gambhir was left with only the handle of the bat in his hand.
- The drop nobody would have expected
AB de Villiers doesn't drop catches. Period! Well, not until this IPL. Sunil Gavaskar spoke out the letters ABCDE when talking about AB because ABCDE is his abbreviation for AB Can Do Everything. Little did he know 'everything' encapsulated even dropping catches. The South African dropped Gautam Gambhir on 31, it was a sitter and no, nobody could believe the best bowler in the world had just dropped it.
- Silence Please
Kieron Pollard's not Chris Gayle or Dwayne Bravo but he can be a showman in his own right and he showed just how when Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangalore. It all started with Pollard giving his West Indian teammate Gayle a lesson in sledging. Shortly after, the umpire asked Pollard to maintain silence and the T20 specialist came up with something for those he perhaps felt took the fun out of the game. Pollard wore a tape on his mouth giving the IPL watchers a lot to talk about.
- The relay in cricket
George Bailey thought he had hit his compatriot James Faulkner for a 6 as the Kings from Punjab took on the Royals of Rajasthan but he was to be proven wrong. Tim Southee literally plucked the ball from outside of the boundary and threw it towards a waiting Karun Nair. Nair's reflexes didn't let him down and the both of them went up to appeal for a catch that was absolutely legitimate. It was just that they seemingly couldn't believe they had pulled off one of the best catches ever. Did a few folks shout replay replay?
