# India's aforesaid total is their second highest successful chase against Sri Lanka in Australia, next only to the 239 for eight at Adelaide on February 19, 2008.

# Sangakkara and Jayawardene have completed their 2,000 runs against India in ODIs.  The six batsmen with 2,000 runs or more against India in ODIs are: Sanath Jayasuriya (2899), Inzamam-ul-Haq (2403), Ricky Ponting (2151), Kumar Sangakkara (2020), Mahela Jayawardene (2012) and Saeed Anwar (2002).

# Sachin Tendulkar is the first player to complete 3,000 runs against Sri Lanka in ODIs - 3031 at an average of 45.23 in 80 ODIs.  Having aggregated 3,060 (ave.45.67) in 69 matches against Australia, he is the first batsman to amass 3,000 runs or more against two opponents in ODIs.
