Australia's Twenty20 squad has had little time together ahead of a testing two-match series in South Africa but captain Cameron White says the Champions League tournament in India has ensured some of his players are already shaping up.
Australia's players arrived in South Africa in separate groups this weekend, with the likes of Shane Watson, in-form batsman David Warner and highly-rated young quick bowler Pat Cummins flying in from India.
With the first T20 match on Thursday, White says the game time "is better than coming out of Australia with a bit of net preparation."
Australia will look to explosive hitter Warner and teenager Cummins to help it to a winning start to a month long tour of South Africa which also includes three one-day internationals and two tests.
