19:44 (IST): And that's it. The match has been called off. A sad end to the game as Titans would have fancied their chances. So Titans win the game by 6 runs according to Duckworth/Lewis.

19:34 (IST): The rain has increased once again and it doesn't look good for the prospects of further play.

19:30 (IST): The rain has eased up but there are heavy puddles on the ground. An update is expected in about half an hour as to what shall be the outcome of the game.

19:24 (IST): No word on if the match has been called off or not. It will be interesting to see if play resumes anytime soon if at all.

19:17 (IST): The rain is getting heavier and further play seems really bleak.

19:07 (IST): So it comes down to the last 3 overs with 36 needed and 4 wickets in hand. AB de Villiers could be the difference between the two teams at this critical juncture. But it has suddenly started to rain as the covers come on and players run off the field (Titans 153/6 in 17 overs; Target: 189)

19:01 (IST): The wickets of Behardien and Wiese further peg back Titans. AB de Villiers has his task cut out for him. (Titans 137/6 in 15.5 overs; Target: 189)

18:25 (IST): Trinidad bowling some less expensive overs since Davids' departure but Jacques Rudolph looks set to upset their plans. (Titans 78/1 in 8.5 overs; Target: 189)

17:32 (IST): A six off the last ball by Sunil Narine helps Trinidad finish off with 188/6. A total their bowlers will be happy with as Titans engage in their run-chase.

17:28 (IST): Navin Stewart's cameo of 23 from 15 balls. Titans doing a good job to restrict Trinidad towards the end of the innings. (Trinidad 179/6 in 19.2 overs)

17:26 (IST): Denesh Ramdin is caught behind off Morne Morkel as he tries to make room outside the off stump. Titans soming back well after the initial onslaught by Trinidad. (Trinidad 171/5 in 18.4 overs)

17:19 (IST): Darren Bravo is bowled by a good delivery from Marchant de Lange. Titans need to keep their heads in the death overs to contain Trinidad. (Trinidad 164/4 in 17.3 overs)

17:15 (IST): Darren Bravo and Navin Stewart looking good at the crease. Trinidad shall aim to go big in the last 3 overs (Trinidad 162/3 in 17 overs)

17:08 (IST): Nicolas Pooran departs trying to force the pace but Darren Bravo is still out there which spells danger for Titans. (Trinidad 145/3 in 15.1 overs)

17:05 (IST): Darren Bravo gets to fifty. Signs of Brian Lara in his batting and it certainly brings back memories of the legend himself. (Trinidad 137/2 in 14.3 overs)

16:56 (IST): Finally a wicket for Titans. Lewis departs after playing a good knock of 70. He has done his job in setting the platform for the middle order in the death overs. (Trinidad 113/2 in 12.2 overs)

16:50 (IST): Darren Bravo too gets into the act. While he may look slow in comparison to Evin Leiws, he too is socring at a good rate. (Trinidad 112/1 in 12 overs)

16:42 (IST): Titans will look to get in a few quiet overs since the restrictions are no longer in place. To do that they need to contain and dismiss both Lewis and Bravo. (Trinidad 94/1 in 9.4 overs)

16:34 (IST): Evin Lewis reaches his fifty off just 21 balls. These are good signs for Trinidad and if he goes on Titans might well have to chase down a big total. (Trinidad 70/1 in 7 overs)

16:29 (IST): Trinidad have got a good start in the powerplay. These early blows are important in boosting the total in the latter stages. (Trinidad 59/1 in 6 overs)

16:24 (IST): Evin Lewis and Darren Bravo are scoring at a brisk pace as they look to make the most of the powerplay overs. (Trinidad 48/1 in 5 overs)

16:16 (IST): Evin Lewis is looking good as he times his strokes to perfection. Trinidad will bank on him to play a quick and explosive innings. (Trinidad 22/1 in 3 overs)

16:09 (IST): Titans get an early breakthrough. Lendl Simmons plays across and is bowled by Marchant de Lange. Davids' decision seems to be paying off. (Trinidad 4/1 in 1.4 overs)

16:01 (IST): So its time for action and both teams are out there with everything to play for.

15:50 (IST): The pitch looks good for batting but there may be a hint of moisture as there has been a bit of rain in the air.

15:42 (IST): The teams are as follows:

Titans: H Davids*, JA Rudolph, AB de Villiers, F Behardien, D Wiese, RE van der Merwe, M Mosehle, HG Kuhn, M Morkel, M de Lange, RR Richards

Trinidad: LMP Simmons, E Lewis, DM Bravo, JN Mohammed, D Ramdin*, N Pooran, ND Stewart, SP Narine, RR Emrit, R Rampaul, S Badree

15:33 (IST): Henry Davids opts to field first. It will be interesting to see how this decision affects Titan's chances. Trinidad may not mind batting first on this surface.

15:19 (IST): The good news is that the sun is out when one considers how rain has been a big hindrance at this venue during the tournament.

15:09 (IST): Rampaul was terrific with his four-wicket haul in the game against Brisbane Heat while Narine was at his deceptive best with his four-for against Sunrisers albeit for a losing cause.

15:00 (IST): In their previous game against Sunrisers, Titans skipper Henry Davids and Jacques Rudolph put on a century stand to lead their side to a crushing eight-wicket win in Ranchi.

14:55 (IST): Trinidad's batting mainly revolved around Darren Bravo's 44-ball 66 against Sunrisers in Mohali but rest of the batsmen failed to support him. The team would be hoping significant contributions from skipper Denesh Ramdin, Lendl Simmons, Darren Bravo and Sherwin Ganga in the upcoming match.

14:45 (IST): Titans, handed a defeat in their opening match, completely transformed themselves with clinical wins against Brisbane Heat and Sunrisers. They came up with brilliant batting display against the Sunrisers and took their bowlers to task with a scintillating batting display. Davids and Rudolph transformed the run chase into a cakewalk and the team would be again heavily banking on them to give the team a rollicking start.

14:34 (IST): T&T will have to recover quickly from their defeat against Sunrisers if they are to fancy their chances of qualifying for the semifinals, provided they win their next two games by a good margin. They can take heart from their comfortable 25-run victory against Brisbane Heat in their first game. For T&T, their bowling is their strength, led by pacer Ravi Rampaul and mystery spinner Sunil Narine, who have shared 10 wickets between them.

14:29 (IST): A win for Titans will ensure their safe passage to the semi-finals with a game to play against 2013 IPL finalists Chennai Super Kings in Delhi on October 2. A T&T victory, on the other hand, will open up the group.

Titans are placed second on the points table with two wins from three matches (eight points) while T&T are stuck in mid-table traffic after suffering an unlikely defeat at the hands of Thisara Perera and Sunrisers Hyderabad on September 24 in Mohali.
