Virat Kohli's Promise to a Special Pakistani Cricket Fan - a Signed Bat

Virat Kohli has used social media just the way he plays his majestic strokes all around the park. The young Indian Test captain, who has a massive following in social media, interacts frequently with his fans and his posts are not necessarily on cricket.

Kohli's popularity cuts across borders. There have been cases when fans in Pakistan have courted trouble for openly showing their appreciation for the Indian Test captain.

There is an addition to Virat Kohli's list of fans from Pakistan. It is ICC Elite Panel umpire Aleem Dar's son, Hasan.

One of the most respected international umpires in the world, Dar is standing in the India versus West Indies Test series. The second match starts in Kingston, Jamaica on Saturday.

Virat Kohli has invited Hasan to meet him on a tour where dad 'Aleembhai' will be officiating. Kohli has promised Hasan a signed cricket bat, a priceless gift from one of the best batsmen of his generation.



During the World T20 match against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, Virat Kohli had made a similar gesture when he gifted his bat to Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir.

From wishing Harbhajan Singh and his actress wife Geeta Basra on becoming parents to remembering the heroes of Kargil War, Kohli hardly misses an occasion to wield his Twitter handle just the way he would play his cover drive.
