Prakash, Sunitha bow out of US Open qualifiers

Prakash Amritraj and Sunitha Rao failed to make the main draw of the US Open after both the players crashed out of the qualifying competition following first-round losses in their respective matches.
Prakash, India's number singles player was knocked out 3-6, 4-6 by America's Ryan Sweeting in one hour and 10 minutes ON Tuesday.
Sunitha Rao, who is second highest ranked Indian in WTA charts, was also handed a 3-6, 4-6 defeat by Argentina's Soledad Esperon in women's singles qualifying for the last Grand Slam of the year.
