Kolkata:
Top-seeded Martina Hingis downed first-time finalist Olga Poutchkova of Russia 6-0, 6-4 on Sunday to win the Sunfeast Open title.
Hingis overcame an erratic second-set service to make short work of Poutchkova and secure her second WTA title since coming out from retirement last year.
Hingis had won the Italian Open in May.
Poutchkova, 18, showed her nerves in her first WTA final appearance, allowing Hingis dominate and win the match in 55 minutes.
Swiss Miss dominates
Hingis wrapped up the opening set with service breaks in the second, fourth and sixth games.
Poutchkova put up a better show in the second set when she broke Hingis in the third game and went on to lead 3-1 before the former world No 1 bounced back.
Hingis dropped another service point in the ninth game, but broke Poutchkova's three successive serves in the sixth, eighth and 10th games to seize the title.
Hingis has now won five Grand Slam events and has 42 career WTA titles. (AP)
