The fight for a place in India's T20 World Cup is heating with the selectors closely monitoring the performance of the players in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). According to reports, the selectors will meet with India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid to pick the squad. The discussions are expected to take place in a meeting in New Delhi this weekend. One of the biggest topics of discussion has been regarding India's frontline pacers.
While star pacer Jasprit Bumrah place in the squad is a no-brainer, there is no clarity as to who will lead the line with him in the tournament, with another veteran in Mohammed Shami currently out injured.
Among capped pacers, Mohammed Siraj, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan are strong contenders to join Bumrah. However, uncapped pacers like Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and T Natarajan are also in the reckoning owing to their brilliant form in the ongoing IPL.
Ahead of the squad announcement, NDTV Sports conducted a poll to see what the fans think. According to the poll, which was conducted on NDTV Cricket's WhatsApp channel, the fans have picked Siraj and Mayank to partner Bumrah at the T20 World Cup.
More than 200 fans voted for Mayank and Siraj's selection.Â

Speaking on Mayank, the 21-year-old has made a strong impression with his raw pace, despite playing just two matches.
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacer, who has picked up six wickets in two matches, is currently out of action due to workload management.
Several experts, including former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, have vocuhed for Mayank's selection for the T20 World Cup.
On the other hand, Siraj has endured a season to forget in the IPL this time around. He has picked up just five wickets in eight matches, leaking runs at over 9 per over.
Despite his poor form, experts have also thrown their weight behind Siraj, purely based on his performance in the past.
Siraj was the main orchestrator in India's Asia Cup triumph last year.
