Manipur mourn Olympian judoka Lourembam Brojeshori Devi's death
Thirty-two-year-old from Imphal represented India in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the 2002 Asian Games

In Imphal on Wednesday, Manipur's sports fraternity paid its last respect to Olympian judoka Lourembam Brojeshori Devi, who died on July 21 in Coimbatore. London Olympics 2012 bronze medalist Mary Kom was among those who bid Brojeshori a tearful adieu.
For the last two months, 32-year-old Brojeshori Devi was at the CRPF Training Centre in Coimbatore on a departmental promotion training programme. She was admitted to a hospital after complaining of stomach pain. The reason of her death is yet to be confirmed as the post-mortem report is still awaited.
Brojeshori participated in 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, 2002 Asian and Commonwealth Games, besides being a part of a number of international judo events. She won gold medals in the South Asian Games held in 2006 and 2010. She also won medals at national and international level.
