KL Rahul hit the winning four to help Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeat Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 17 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday. Chasing a target of 132 runs, PBKS scored 132 for one in 17.4 overs, winning by nine wickets. Rahul and Chris Gayle formed a match-winning partnership, to help their side to a win. Captain Rahul smashed an unbeaten knock of 60 runs in 52 balls, packed with three fours and three sixes. Meanwhile, Gayle scored 43 in 35 balls, consisting of five fours and two sixes. Rahul Chahar took a wicket for MI, in an otherwise poor showing for their bowlers. Earlier, Rohit Sharma scored a half-century to help MI up their innings at 131 for six in 20 overs. The MI skipper scored 63 runs off 52 balls, with five fours and two sixes. Suryakumar Yadav also made a noteworthy contribution with 33 runs off 27 balls. Mohammed Shami and Ravi Bishnoi were on fire for Punjab, taking two wickets each. Meanwhile, Deepak Hooda and Arshdeep Singh registered a dismissal each. (SCORECARD)
