The SunRisers Hyderabad players who completed their mandatory quarantine were treated to the luxuries of the team room as the 2016 champions geared up for the upcoming IPL season. The likes of Vijay Shankar, Mohammed Nabi, Rashid Khan, Kedar Jadhav and Khaleel Ahmed among others were seen coming out of their hotel rooms in Chennai where they were quarantined and mingling with one another in a video SRH posted on social media. "Risers out of quarantine. It's going to be tough to leave this space," SRH wrote in the caption. "The Risers are out of quarantine and heading straight to their team room."
"Quarantine is something we're not used to, but we have to follow all the protocols for us to have a safe tournament," said Vijay Shankar.Â
"We are getting to step out after seven days. I'll go to the gym and run or do my workout, so that my body gets used to the conditions," said wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha.Â
Rashid Khan admitted that quarantine in a hotel room was difficult.
"Quite happy to be out of the quarantine," said Rashid Khan. "It was pretty difficult. It affects you a lot mentally. But most importantly, we are happy to be back playing cricket."Â
Mohammad Nabi echoed his countryman's thoughts.
"Quarantine is difficult," said Mohammad Nabi. "You are in the room all the time. You get frustrated, and you can't train properly. How much can you run in a small room?"Â
"It's a great feeling to be free and to be able to roam around at least in the gym after the seven days of quarantine," said Kedar Jadhav.Â
"I am happy and excited to be a part of this team and I am looking forward to start our practice."Â
SRH play their first game of IPL 2021 on April 11 in Chennai against Kolkata Knight Riders.Â
