Man of the Match, Mohammed Shami says that he came back in with a lot of confidence after the injury and is happy to deliver a good performance tonight. Feels that injuries disturb you mentally but if you overcome it, you will succeed. Opines it doesn't matter if you go for runs in this format but you need to stick to the plans.
Karun Nair says that he is very happy and calls it a complete team performance. Says that the bowlers gave their all but admits that they needed to take the catch of Yuvraj. Mentions that they are a young team and need to play like one. Informs that the message was to express themselves and not to worry about anything. On his own batting, he replies that he is happy to have got few runs under his belt and hopes to kick on from here.
David Warner says that they have not won enough games away. Adds that the wicket held up a touch in the first innings. Credits Yuvraj for playing so well but mentions that Delhi played better and gives it to them. Says that they would have taken 185 after their first two overs with the bat. Adds that he felt the deck was a touch soft. Admits that they were predictable today with the ball and bowled far too many quicker ones. Feels that there wasn't much dew and does not want put up an excuse. Credits Delhi for playing well. Ends by saying that he is looking forward to the two home games next.
Every Delhi batsman got a start but did not kick on. The good thing for them was that they kept the required run rate in check which didn't hamper the chase. Amidst the wickets falling at regular intervals, Corey Anderson held one end and struck a deadly 24-ball 41 to guide his team home. Hyderabad will have to agree that they weren't at their usual best tonight. Bhuvneshwar got just one while Rashid Khan went wicketless. Mohammed Siraj picked up a couple of wickets but he was expensive. So, the visitors and their poor away record stay intact this season but nothing to worry for them as they still remain on number 3 in the points table. Stay with us for the presentation...
They say it's all about the partnerships in this format and Delhi finally managed to string them in this one, mind you, against one of the best bowling attacks this season. A convincing win for them and they would be highly relieved with this as they break the 5-match losing streak. They did lose the plot with the ball giving away 71 in the final 5 overs but that didn't dent their confidence. They came out with a positive mindset which helped them gun this total down.
FOUR! All over! Length ball on off, Corey Anderson knows that mid off is inside the circle so he makes room and flat-bats it past the man there for a boundary to finish it off in style for his side. DELHI WIN BY 6 WICKETS WITH 5 BALLS TO SPARE!
Moises Henriques to bowl the final over. Just a run needed.
Anderson gets under the full ball and blunts it down to long off for a single.
Fuller in length and angling in, Morris looks to whip it across the line but misses and is hit on the pads. The ball rolls further and the pair run. Kaul appeals for an LBW but it's turned down by the umpire as he spots the inside edge there. A single taken.
