Kohli's rampaging form has taken IPL by storm. The Indian Test captain has almost single-handedly taken RCB to the playoffs and Gujarat Lions will start as the underdogs at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday night.
This IPL, it has been all about Kohli. He has broken a plethora of records and is 81 runs shy of becoming the first man to score a 1,000 runs in a single IPL season.
But Kohli is not alone. AB de Villiers remains a batting superman, Chris Gayle can never be overlooked and KL Rahul has been in fine nick with his classic approach.
Suresh Raina's biggest challenge will be to contain RCB's top five batsmen. Two of his bowlers - Dhawal Kulkarni and Dwayne Smith - are three wickets away from a 100 T20 wickets. But can they get the better of a rampaging Kohli?
The teams have played twice in the league stage. Both teams won on their home grounds. RCB's 144-run rout of GL at Chinnaswamy has been the biggest in the history of the tournament.
