Hashim Amla will make his IPL debut on Saturday night. Kings XI Punjab badly needs Amla's solidity and composure to revive their sagging campaign. Amla has replaced injured Aussie Shaun Marsh.

Amla should open the innings with new KXIP captain Murali Vijay. Punjab need to put the runs on the board to look Delhi Daredevils in the eye. David Miller and Glen Maxwell have started showing streaks of form and that's good news for KXIP who will play three of their next four games at 'home' Mohali.

Delhi Daredevils are eyeing a place in the playoffs. This has been a stunning season for the Zaheer Khan-led side. DD are coming off a defeat against Rising Pune Supergiants. It was their third loss in eight matches.

DD have looked balanced. Quinton de Kock and JP Duminy have been quite dependable and Chris Morris has been god-sent for DD. Delhi may be inclined to play Proteas leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who took his 150th T20 wicket against RPS when he got MS Dhoni out.
