IPL: Vizag New Home Venue for MI and RPS, Bengaluru to Host Final
Vizag will be the home venue for both Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants after May 1. Bengaluru will host the final and one qualifier while Delhi will host the second qualifier and the eliminator in the 2016 Indian Premier League

Vizag will be the new home venue for both Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants in the 2016 Indian Premier League after May 1.
In a statement released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the IPL Governing Council stated that Bengaluru will host the final as well as the first qualifier in this edition while Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla will host the eliminator and the second qualifier.
The Bombay High Court had asked the BCCI in India to shift all IPL 2016 matches out of Maharashtra after April 30 due to the drought situatiuon. According to the schedule, 19 matches were scheduled in three venues - Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur -- in the state.
The BCCI have rescheduled 13 IPL 2016 matches, including the final which was scheduled in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on May 29.
Kings XI Punjab, who had three home matches scheduled for Nagpur, will now play all their home matches in Mohali. According to the revised schedule, Bangalore will host the first qualifier on May 24 while Delhi will host the eliminator and second qualifier on May 25 and May 27 respectively. The M Chinnaswamy stadium will host the final on May 29.
The above-mentioned changes have resulted in change of timing for two games on May 15, 2016. The Kings XI Punjab vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad match at Mohali will now be played at 4 PM IST and the Mumbai Indians vs. Delhi Daredevils will be played in Vizag at 8 PM IST.
