Virat Kohli has been a run-machine for Indian cricket in the last couple of seasons across all formats. In the recently concluded ICC World T20, Kohli was the Man of the Series for scoring 273 runs at an average of 136.5 and a strike-rate of 144.6. In the 2016 Indian Premier League, he has started off in style, scoring two fifties in three matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Apart from his cricket skills and ability to adjust to various conditions, Kohli's fitness makes him a superhuman. In his eight-year international career, Kohli has rarely missed an international match due to injury or indisposition. Kohli has credited his trainer Shankar Basu for his intensity on the field. ÂÂ
In a recent interview with the Times of India, Royal Challengers Bangalore strength and conditioning coach Basu said Novak Djokovic, the 11-time Grand Slam champion, should take tips from Kohli.
The dashing right-handed batsman has not forgotten Basu's contributions and credited him for making him strong and healthy.
