If his Instagram post on Thursday is to be believed, Chris Gayle has named his newborn daughter, 'Blush'. The West Indies and Royal Challengers Bangalore superstar became a dad this week and is missing a few IPL games to be with his partner Natasha Berridge in Jamaica. Earlier reports suggested that Gayle had a son.

Just like his batting, the jaw-dropping name - Blush -- has taken the media by storm.
"We've already got North West (thanks, Kim and Kanye) and Blue Ivy (Beyonce and Jay-Z), so the world doesn't need another couple trolling it by calling their kid something that will make everyone question the existence of all that is good and sacred on this Earth," wrote the news.com.au.
The Australian media, in particular, has taken keen interest on the baby's name. Gayle had landed in soup during the Big Bash League when he had said ""Don't blush, baby" to a lady Channel 10 reporter Mel McLaughlin. That infamous line saw Gayle fined 10,000 Dollars and slammed from all quarters for his unprofessional conduct.
Interestingly, earlier reports suggested that Gayle had become father to a baby boy. His RCB teammate Sarfaraz Khan had confirmed during a press conference in Mumbai on Tuesday that "Gayle ka beta hua hai".
ABC journalist Andre Leslie also said Gayle's social media post appeared to be a joke.
Indian media have reported that #ChrisGayle has had a son.... quoting a teammate. I think the baby name #Blush is meant to be a joke

Gayle was angry with the media's reaction to the Channel 10 incident and took aim at some of his former teammates at the end of the season.
"The real ppl who stand by Gayle worldwide through the so call BS against me in the media, Thank You! To the MEDIA, Thank You all so! The Haters, I Thank you even more," he posted on Instagram at the end of the last BBL.
