22:15 hrs IST: Following a loss, Daredevils bounce back to clinch a victory against a strong side and skipper Zaheer Khan is satisfied. "It was required. The win was required for us. Happy with the way we put our efforts on the field. It was a good toss to win. The energy out there was fantastic. We want that young energy, you want to see that energy on the field and very happy with the way the boys threw themselves around. We kept taking wickets, Mishra was really good. We want to build momentum at the right time, let everyone express themselves freely. We are playing RCB in a couple of days, and this will will definitely help," concluded Zaheer.

22:14 hrs IST: Mishra said: "I think nothing much to say. Just trying to take wickets, I got success, really happy today. Wicket was on the slower side, little effort needed to spin the ball. I wanted [to bowl the fourth over] but I supported the captain. We worked hard on batting and bowling and fielding, and it came out very well on this game. We hope to do good work in later matches too."
23:10 hrs IST:  Amit Mishra Man of the Match in his 100th IPL game! Fully deserving. But still... why didn't he bowl his full quota of four overs?
23:05 hrs IST: David Miller is correct. Kings XI did not have enough runs on the board. "Exactly, not enough runs. Quick turnaround on Sunday, had a few chances on the field, the guys out their bodies on the line. Massive difference, momentum gets broken when you lose quick wickets. Have to look at the batting line-up."

19:05 hrs IST: Hello and welcome to live updates of the seventh match of the ninth season of the Indian Premier League between hosts Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab at the Ferozeshah Kotla.

Both DD and KXIP will look for their first points in the tournament. Led by retired paceman Zaheer Khan, Delhi went down meekly by nine wickets to Kolkata Knight Riders in their opening match. Nothing went right for DD at Eden Gardens.
Delhi have some of the brightest Indian youngsters in their rank. Mayank Agarwal, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer and Pawan Negi come in with a lot of potential and with Rahul Dravid around to harness this pool of talent, Delhi should click sooner than later.
Delhi have capable overseas players, too. While JP Duminy's availability remains under cloud, West Indian power-hitter Carlos Brathwaite and South African all-rounder Chris Morris will have to play bigger leadership roles. Kotla's dry pitch could see an extra (leg) spinner - South African Imran Tahir - in DD playing XI.
Kings XI Punjab made a mixed start against heavyweight debutants Gujarat Lions in their first game at Mohali. Murali Vijay and Manan Vohra's opening stand was a bright point but the failure of Glenn Maxwell in the middle-order was a big worry for Kings XI.
With Virender Sehwag and Sanjay Bangar as backroom staff, KXIP have enough experience in their dressing room. If players on either side can perform to at least 60 per cent of their potential, this rather low-profile match will see a great contest.ÂÂ
