Belligerent batsmen, intelligent bowlers - These four words are enough to describe Kings XI Punjab's team this season. Shaun Marsh, David Miller - their newly appointed skipper and Glenn Maxwell, are the impact players for the team. All three men are capable of taking the game away from the opposition. The addition of Armaan Jaffer - India's finisher in the recently concluded 2016 U-19 World Cup- and Farhaan Behardien definitely add that extra firepower in their middle-order.
In bowling, the selection of Mohit Sharma is a boost because of his variations. While both Mitchell Johnson and Sandeep Sharma are known for their swing and pace, Mohit's cutters and slow bouncers could prove to be an X-Factor. Â
Their spin department features Axar Patel and KC Cariappa, who was KKR's mystery spinner last year (price of 2.4 crores) but played just a solitary game for them.
