Indian Premier League 2016: Mumbai Indians to Play Rising Pune Supergiants on April 9
The BCCI announced the Indian Premier League 2016 fixtures with defending champions Mumbai Indians playing their first match at Wankhede Stadium. Raipur will host two games of Delhi Daredevils.

Defending Indian Premier League champions Mumbai Indians will begin their defense at the Wankhede Stadium on April 9. Mumbai will play debutants Rising Pune Supergiants, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. (IPL Auction 2016: Shane Watson Most Expensive Buy, Pawan Negi Costliest Indian)
A total of 60 matches (including the 4 playoffs) will be played over a period of 51 days. The final will be played at the Wankhede Stadium on May 29. (Indian Premier League Schedule is Not Related to Lodha Panel, Says Rajeev Shukla)
The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium at Raipur will play host to two home games of Delhi Daredevils, whilst the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium at Nagpur will host three home games of Kings XI Punjab.
"All the top players from around the world will be seen in action this year. This season the IPL will be played at 10 venues - Mohali, Delhi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rajkot and Raipur. I am excited to join the fans to see a lot of exciting cricket over the next three months," IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla said.
