ÂÂ
ÂÂ
David Warner is the Man-of-the-Match for his 59 off 45 balls: Had a good partnership with Dhawan. A good start is great for the team. Backed our instincts.
ÂÂ
That's the end of this game. Coming up, KKR vs CSK at the Eden Gardens.
ÂÂ
Darren Sammy, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain: Credit to Warner and Dhawan; they set the game up for us. We now have to hope that some of the other results go our way. We will go to Ranchi and try to win; we have put ourselves in this position and it's up to us to make amends.
ÂÂ
Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain: We did well to get 160, but we had to be smart in the death overs. Our bowlers could not pull off the yorkers in the last few overs. Not worried about how many I score; no contribution good enough if you can't win games.
ÂÂ
ÂÂ
Sunrisers Hyderabad win by seven wickets to keep alive their playoff chances. Dhawan (50) and Warner (59) added 100 for the first wicket and useful knocks from Naman Ojha, Finch and Sammy helped the hosts to a comfortable win.
ÂÂ
19:01 IST: WICKET! David Warner, after playing so well, fell to a full toss from Varun Aaron. He goes for 59 off 45 balls. SRH 126/2 off 16.1 overs.
ÂÂ
18:52 IST: SRH were 116/1 after 15 overs, still needing 45 from the last five when David Warner clobbered Abu Nechim for 6. SRH have the upper hand with Warner's form and Finch and Sammy to follow.
ÂÂ
18:48 IST: David Warner continued his great form and brought up his 5th fifty this season and 15th overall in the IPL as SRH looked well on course to notch up a win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
ÂÂ
18:40 IST: WICKET! Low after the high. Moments after getting to a 39-ball half-century, Dhawan was run-out, but not before helping SRH to 100/1 off 12.3 overs. Naman Ojha joins Warner in the middle.
ÂÂ
18:38 IST: Dhawan gets to his first fifty this season and 17th in IPL. SRH are in cruise-control at the moment.
ÂÂ
18:36 IST: SIX and SIX Warner slams Chahal for two successive maximums as Hyderabad look well set to overhaul RCB's 160. Things are getting out of hand for the visitors and Kohli will need one of his bowlers to work some magic from hereon.
ÂÂ
18:25 IST: The Sunrisers are in full bloom, thanks to Dhawan and Warner. They have reached 68/0 off 9 overs.
ÂÂ
18:11 IST: SRH are off to a blazing start here, 51/0 at the end of the powerplay with Dhawan on 29 not out and Warner batting on 19. Strategic timeout.
ÂÂ
18:06 IST: SRH openers on fire. Dhawan has been harsh on the pacers, especially Starc with Warner chipping in two. After he hammered Murali for a four off the first ball of his second over, the wily offie came well. Great start to a stiff chase.
ÂÂ
17:58 IST: Dhawan hammers Varun Aaron for six and four in his first over as SRH reach 26/0 after 3 overs. This is a great start for the hosts.
ÂÂ
17:53 IST: Dhawan smacked Starc through the off-side for a four and then edged him for another. Productive over for SRH, who are 16/0 after 2.
ÂÂ
17:48 IST: Muttiah Muralitharan gives away six runs from his first over, including a boundary to Dhawan. SRH 6/0 after 1, chasing 161.
ÂÂ
Royal Challengers Bangalore posted 160/6 off their 20 overs. After electing to bat, RCB lost Patel and Gayle early, but Kohli slammed 67 and de Villiers (29) and Yuvraj (21) played useful cameos as the visitors made a strong total. Sunrisers Hyderabad bounced back with some late-order wickets, but this is a score that gives the Royal Challengers Bangalore a fighting chance.
ÂÂ
17:21 IST: WICKET! SRH are fighting back strongly. Kumar has castled AB de Villiers for a 17-ball 29 as RCB reach 146/5 off 18.1 overs
ÂÂ
17:18 IST: WICKET! That's the end of Kohli for 67 as he perishes to Irfan Pathan. RCB 141/4 in 17.3 overs but the captain has played his part. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan would be looking for some kind of inspiration from his wife Ayesha.
ÂÂ
17:08 IST: RCB are going along well here. Kohli has brought up his first 50 this season, the 15 of his career off 34 balls and has found some great company in AB de Viliers. The two hit a six apiece in Sammy's first over as SRH looked to chase a big total.
ÂÂ
16:55 IST: With seven overs to go, RCB are 86/3. Strategic timeout
ÂÂ
16:52 IST: WICKET! Rasool strikes to get the big one; gets rid of Yuvraj Singh just when he was looking dangerous, not for the first time this season. RCB are 80/3 off 12.2 overs as AB de Villiers joins Kohli.
ÂÂ
16:50 IST: Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli are beginning to open up. The southpaw started with Rasool in the 11th over, taking a four and six off him while Kohli launched into Karn Sharma, sending him over the ropes for two sixes and a boundary. 31 runs have come from the last two overs.
ÂÂ
16:43 IST: FOUR! Kohli drove Irfan Pathan's final ball of his first over; read the slower one early. Halfway into their innings, RCB are 48/2.
ÂÂ
16:36 IST: Yuvraj Singh's eyes lit up as Rao came in to the attack; he hit him for a boundary off the first ball and tried to attack for the remaining five balls, without much success. RCB 43/2 off 9 overs. Strategic timeout.
ÂÂ
16:31 IST: Rasool is in the middle of a good SRH debut; his two overs have cost only 7 runs. RCB 29/2 off 7.
ÂÂ
16:28 IST: This is another poor start for the Royal Challengers, who have managed 28/2 off six overs. Yuvraj, the man in form, has a huge role to perform here.
ÂÂ
16:25 IST: WICKET! Karn Sharma strikes off his first ball, removes Chris Gayle for 14 as RCB slip to 23/2 off 5.1 overs. Yuvraj Singh in the middle with Kohli.
ÂÂ
16:23 IST: Watchful start by RCB as they take three of Rasool's first over for the Sunrisers. RCB 20/1 off 4 overs.
ÂÂ
16:20 IST: Steyn has managed to keep Gayle in check from his first two overs. RCB 20/1 off four overs after electing to bat in Hyderabad.
ÂÂ
16:14 IST: Gayle hammers Kumar away to the fence, showing first intent of aggression. RCB 14/1 after 3 overs.
ÂÂ
16:10 IST: Good first over from Dale Steyn; gives away just two runs as RCB move to 7/1 off 2.
ÂÂ
16:05 IST: WICKET! First one down for RCB, who have lost Parthiv Patel to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Patel walks off shaking his head, clearly not happy with the decision. Virat Kohli walks out to join Chris Gayle. RCB 5/1 after the first over.
ÂÂ
15:40 IST: Here are the playing XIs:
SRH: S Dhawan, AJ Finch, NV Ojha (WK), DA Warner, Y Venugopal Rao, DJG Sammy (Captain), IK Pathan, KV Sharma, Parvez Rasool, DW Steyn, B Kumar

Preview
After a hard-fought win over Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore would look to brighten their prospects of earning a playoffs berth with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League today.
RCB, with five wins from 11 games, need to win all their remaining matches to remain in contention for top-four spot. For Hyderabad, a loss to Bangalore will draw the curtains on their chances of a playoff spot.
Sunrisers are virtually out of the race following their seven-wicket loss to Kolkata Knight Riders here on Sunday, but would like to achieve a win over RCB and salvage some pride.
The Bangalore side has been erratic, but A B de Villiers' 14-ball 28 cameo and Yuvraj Singh and Chris Gayle's decent outings is good news for the team.
In the bowling department, RCB's pacer Mitchell Starc and the seasoned Muttiah Muralidharan have been delivering the goods and they would be called upon to rise to the occasion again.
Sunrsers Hyderabad have been inconsistent this season and are having a poor run on their home ground, losing all the three matches in a row so far. (Read more)
Sammy Replaces Dhawan as Hyderabad Skipper
Relieving Shikhar Dhawan of the burden of captaincy, Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday appointed West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy as the new captain of the side for the rest of the Indian Premier League season, hoping that the move will help the Indian bat more freely. Dhawan, however, failed to make an impact again, getting out for 19 against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday.
"We are hoping for a lot from Shikhar the batsman," VVS Laxman, mentor of the SRH side, said. (Read more)
Ganguly Advises Kohli to Focus on Batting
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly feels that Virat Kohli should take it easy while leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore side in the Indian Premier League, which in turn would help him focus on his primary duty scoring as many runs as possible.
"Probably, it's time he needs to sit back and think about his captaincy," Ganguly said, adding, "I had a word with Gautam Gambhir a few days back asking him to look at captaincy in a different way and I feel it is time for Virat also to do the same." (Read more)
