ÂÂ
19:43 (IST): So, a great win then for the Kolkata Knight Riders, who are now at fourth in the table with three wins and five losses. KKR got a great start once again while chasing a daunting 161 but also finished the job this time unlike a scary collapse they suffered against Rajasthan Royals recently. Captain Gautam Gambhir was also the Man of the Match for his 69-run knock and he admitted at the post-match presentation about being anxious while not getting runs during the start of the tournament. He said he wanted to finish off the job this time and we will have to give it to him for doing just that. That's it from us then! You can follow live updates from the next match today between Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab here.
19:27 (IST): Robin Uthappa, Gautam Gambhir power Kolkata Knight Riders to eight-wicket win over Delhi Daredevils.
ÂÂ
19:21 (IST): OUT! Gambhir c Karthik b Parnell 69. KKR 151/2 (17.2 overs) need 10 runs off 16 balls to beat DD.
ÂÂ
18:10 (IST): 4.5 overs left in the game. KKR need 31 runs off 29 balls to beat Delhi Daredevils, 9 wickets in hand.
ÂÂ
18:59 (IST): Manish Pandey gets four! Flourishing drive! He should play carefully from here. KKR 122/1 (13.3 overs). Gautam Gambhir seems to be having some trouble with his eyes! Something has just gotten inside them!
ÂÂ
18:53 (IST): Gautam Gambhir gets fifty! (off 39 balls). It's his 22nd fifty in the IPL! Hats off! KKR 114/1 (12.4 overs) vs DD. It's all KKR now!
ÂÂ
18:48 (IST): OUT! Uthappa lbw b Parnell 47. KKR 106/1 (11.5 overs). Can Delhi Daredevils get back in the game now? Seems too late.
ÂÂ
18:36 (IST): FOUR! Gambhir swings it on the leg-side! At the moment, it's all runs for KKR. They are 82/0 (9.2 overs).
ÂÂ
18:27 (IST): SIX! Uthappa this time! This is turning out to be another great start for KKR. They are 63/0 (7 overs). Can they get a win this time and not collapse like they did in their last game against Rajasthan? Shahbaz Nadeem will bowl now!
18:14 (IST): SIX from Gambhir! After 5 overs, KKR are 42/0 chasing 161 vs DD. Gambhir (16*), Uthappa (19*).
ÂÂ
18:01 (IST): It's all going in the direction of the boundary if Uthappa is on strike! Miscued shots are going for four and his pads are taking the ball to the boundary. KKR 24/0 (2.3 overs).
17:59 (IST): So that's three boundaries in the over, one from Gambhir and two from Uthappa, one from his pad! Parnell missing his line! KKR 15/0 (2 overs).
ÂÂ
17:53 (IST): Gautam Gambhir could have been run out there. Wasn't really a single in it! Uthappa quickly sent him back. Commentator Harsha Bhogle rightly pointed out on TV that there's something wrong with the captains in this game. Kevin Pietersen got himself out in a similar fashion earlier! KKR 1/0 (0.4 overs).
17:41 (IST): Stats: Sunil Narine (1/38) records most expensive IPL 2014 figures & Kedar Jadhav remains unbeaten so far in IPL7.
17:34 (IST): Dinesh Karthik, JP Duminy guide Delhi Daredevils to 160/5 (20 overs) against Kolkata Knight Riders.
17:26 (IST): Narine to Duminy! Six! He then takes a quick single! And Jadhav gets 2 fours! DD 136/5 (18 overs). Don't remember the last time Narine went for so many in his over.
17:19 (IST): Huge six! We forgot there is also a Jadhav in the Delhi Daredevils team! DD 116/5 (16.3 overs). Jadhav races to 11 from just 4 deliveries faced so far.
17:15 (IST): OUT! Sunil Narine strikes! Shukla b Narine 10. DD 105/5 (15.5 overs). It wasn't really a brilliant over by Narine standards but then he finds a way to get a wicket again. Also gets the purple cap, by the way! The commentator on TV says it's purple anyway! Kedar Jadhav comes in to bat!
ÂÂ
17:05 (IST): Duminy (13* off 16 balls) is once again showing why he should bat up the order! 100 comes up! DD 100/4 (14.2 overs).
17:04 (IST): Manish Pandey might not be getting runs for KKR lately but he is fielding well! DD 99/4 (14 overs). Duminy (12*), Laxmi Ratan Shukla (7*).
16:54 (IST): OUT! Karthik c Kallis b Shakib 36. DD 85/4 (11.5 overs) vs KKR. Bengal Ranji Trophy skipper Laxmi Ratan Shukla comes out to bat against the Kolkata IPL team. JP Duminy is with him on the other end.
ÂÂ
16:47 (IST): That's a typical Dinesh Karthik shot for six! Clears short fine-leg off Kallis! DD 72/3 (10.2 overs).
ÂÂ
16:41 (IST): OUT! Vijay c Narine b Kallis 24. DD 61/3 (9 overs) vs KKR. Strategic timeout is taken!
16:35 (IST): Murali Vijay goes straight over long-on for six! Off Vinay Kumar! DD 48/2 (7.4 overs). Delhi starting to turn the tide in their favour, slowly but surely.
ÂÂ
16:23 (IST): OUT! Kevin Pietersen run out 6. DD 26/2 (5.3 overs). That's a disaster, huge mix-up between Pietersen and Vijay leads to a run out. Vijay wasn't willing to take a single on the non-strikers end, and there was no single there!
ÂÂ
16:20 (IST): Sunil Narine into the attack in the 5th over. DD 21/1 (4.1 overs). Is it too early to bring him on? He usually bowls the 16th and 18th overs for KKR these days.
16:13 (IST): OUT! Quinton de Kock c Gambhir b Umesh Yadav 10. KKR 14/1 (2.3 overs). Kevin Pietersen comes out to bat. Can he get a big innings today?
ÂÂ
16:03 (IST): Suryakumar Yadav to Quinton de Kock! 4! DD 4/0 (0.1 overs). Murali Vijay is with him on the other end. Another occasion in the IPL when the first ball goes for a boundary!

Reeling under four successive defeats, Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking to revive their fading fortunes when they lock horns with another struggling outfit, Delhi Daredevils in their Indian Premier League match at Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium on Wednesday.
The Knight Riders are having a tough run in the tournament, having suffered four back-to-back defeats. Their biggest concern is the floundering batting line-up, which has failed to find consistency even in the Indian leg. (Also read: Delhi Daredevils' Saurabh Tiwary ruled out with shoulder injury)
Skipper Gautam Gambhir may have found his way out of the initial slump - three consecutive ducks at the start of the tournament - but hasn't done enough to lead by example. Gambhir's 54 went in vain on Monday, when a collapse saw hapless KKR losing six wickets for just two runs to slump to 123 for six from 121 for no loss against Rajasthan Royals at Motera.
South African veteran Jacques Kallis has been the only batsman to be among runs but his strike-rate has been more of a burden than a boon for the Knights, and that had forced the veteran to opt out of the last match.
As far as their bowling is concerned, Knight Riders have been relying too heavily on West Indian off-spinner Sunil Narine, who has taken 11 wickets in seven games. It will be interesting to see how KKR's three wise men - coach Trevor Bayliss, bowling consultant Wasim Akram and motivational guru Mike Horn - prepare the team for the battle ahead.
With just two wins in seven games, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team is lying at the fifth spot and desperately need a win to inject some life into their campaign. Delhi Daredevils are also facing similar situation with Kevin Pietersen-led side having suffered their fifth loss last night following an eight-wicket hammering against Chennai Super Kings.
With problems aplenty, the Delhi unit is still banking on home games - against Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab - for a turnaround in fortunes.
