George Bailey to captain Kings XI Punjab in 2014 Indian Premier League
Kings XI Punjab bought George Bailey for Rs.3.25 crore at the IPL auction last month, along with fellow Australians Mitchell Johnson, Glenn Maxwell and Shaun Marsh.

Australia's T20 captain George Bailey will lead Kings XI Punjab in the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League, the franchisee announced on Tuesday. (Read: Kevin Pietersen to lead Delhi Daredevils)
The right-hand batsman was was bought by Kings XI Punjab in this year's auction at a price of Rs 3.25 crore.
"I am extremely honoured and excited to lead Kings XI Punjab this season. I hope to live upto the expectations of the franchise and its fans and I am looking forward to playing with some of the finest cricketers in the team." said Bailey on his appointment.
Sanjay Bangar, Coach of the team, said, "Bailey has proved his mettle as a captain by leading the Australian team to several victories in the past. He was a popular choice at the franchise and we are hopeful that his experience and guidance will lead the team to great success this season."
Commenting on the announcement, Promoters of Kings XI Punjab, said, "We are delighted to have George Bailey as a captain to lead the team.
