Sachin should be conferred Bharat Ratna: Shukla

Rajya Sabha MP and BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla said on Tuesday that master blaster Sachin Tendulkar should be conferred with Bharat Ratna for his "wonderful play and sportsmanship".

"Sachin has made entire India proud by his wonderful play and sportsmanship. Sachin must be given Bharat Ratna as he deserves it", he said after attending a function in Vaishali here.

Shukla said no official letter has been issued so far by the BCCI for the proposed Indo-Pak cricket series.

He said there is no pressure on the players to play in the IPL and it is entirely their choice whether they wish to take part in the tournament or not.
