IPL stats: Finch, Uthapa involved in best opening stand for Pune Warriors

Pune Warriors (159/5) have recorded their highest total against Chenna, surpassing the 156 for three at Pune on April 14, 2012.

Robin Uthappa and Aaron Finch were involved in a stand of 96 for the first wicket - Pune's highest opening stand at the IPL, outstripping the 63 between Uthappa and Jesse Ryder against RCB at Bangalore on April 17, 2012.

The 96-run partnership is Pune's highest for any wicket against Chennai at the IPL, obliterating the 66 (unbroken) for the fourth wicket between between Steven Smith and Ryder at Pune on April 14, 2012.

The aforesaid partnership is the second highest for any wicket for Pune at the IPL, next only to the 145 (unbroken) between Manish Pandey and Uthappa for the third wicket against Delhi Daredevils at Pune on April 24, 2012.

Aaron Finch (67 off 45 balls)has posted his highest score for Pune at the IPL, surpassing the 64 off 53 balls against Rajasthan at Pune on April 11, 2013.

Finch, with 131 runs in three innings at an average of 43.66 is the top run-scorer for Pune in the present competition. No other batsman has posted a fifty for Pune this year.

Smith's strike rate of 243.75 (39 not out off 16 balls) is the second highest for Pune at the IPL - the best being Smith's own 261.53 (34 not out off 13 balls) against Delhi at Delhi on April 21, 2012.

Smith's overall strike rate of 141.69 (401 in 16 innings at an average of 44.55) is the best by a Pune player at the IPL.

Dwayne Bravo's figures of 8 at an average of 17.25 in four matches are the best by a Chennai bowler at the IPL. He is the third bowler after Kevon Cooper and Vinay Kumar to bag eight wickets at the IPL 2013.
