All-rounder Jacques Kallis, who played a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders' five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Banglore here on Sunday, said the pitch at the JSCA International Cricket Complex was not ideal for a Twenty20 game.
Kallis, who picked up two wickets for 17 runs with the ball before scoring a vital 41 during KKR's modest chase of 116-run target, said the wicket was not easy to bat as the ball didn't come to the bat.
Being one of the instrumental players for the KKR with both bat and ball in today's encounter, Kallis accepted that a wicket for Twenty20 game should fetch a team between 150 and 160 runs, giving equal chance to both bowlers and the batsmen.
The South African, however, sounded optimistic about KKR's chances of qualifying for the playoff, saying the defending champions have two more matches and would try to win both.
