Sachin Tendulkar cracked a quick 48 off 28 deliveries to help Mumbai Indians set up a 65-run mauling of Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. The veteran batsman said that it was a conscious decision to bat aggressively and that he had been doing so in every match of the Indian Premier League.

Tendulkar - partnered by Dwayne Smith - was responsible for giving his side a solid foundation. His innings had as many as eight boundaries in it. "If you look at the whole season, I have not been able to spend much time in the middle but I have batted aggressively. Not every day can you do well. But when you bat aggressively, you have to strike the ball well on some day. Today was that," he said after the match.
The senior-most player in the side, it is a known fact that Tendulkar's iconic status inspires each and every player in his team. The 40-year-old himself said that he is only too eager to learn from them. "It is about give and take, it's not a one way traffic. I have learnt a lot from my team members. It is all about discussing cricket."
Tendulkar was adjudged man-of-the-match for his effort - his first this season. At the post-match ceremony, he said that he continued to be in love with the game!
