Chennai Super Kings' Mohit Sharma continued with his fine form as he claimed three wickets to rattle Pune Warriors' top order on Tuesday. The 21-year-old said after the match that the secret is to stick to the basics and not experiment much.
Pune had a good start to their chase of Chennai's 164 with Aaron Finch striking boundaries. Sharma though managed to remove the Pune skipper off the third over of the chase. He then claimed the wickets of T. Suman and Yuvraj Singh too. "It is a result of a lot of practice. During the training sessions, I try sticking to the basics and do not experiment much with my strengths," he said after the match.
The 21-year-old now has seven wickets in the tournament and credits playing with veterans for his success. "I learn a lot from my teammates. MS Dhoni and others help a lot."
Skipper Dhoni too praised the pacer in the post-match ceremony. "He is a confident bowler and he has been doing a fine job for us. He backs his strengths and executes his plans well."
