Wayne Parnell surrenders in Mumbai court in drug case, gets bail
The court granted him bail against a bond of Rs 10,000. The Mumbai Police had recently filed a chargesheet against more than 80 people for drug consumption.

South African cricketer Wayne Parnell on Monday surrendered before a Mumbai Sessions court. He was one of the accused in last year's Juhu rave party case.
The court granted him bail against a bond of Rs. 10,000.
The police had raided a party at Oakwood May Hotel in suburban Juhu in May last year and rounded up 86 people for alleged consumption of drugs. During the raid, the police had also seized 110 grams of cocaine and MDMA from the hotel.
On March 6, the police filed 1,200 pages of chargesheet against 86 people. Thirty-five of them, including South African cricketer Wayne Parnell, are shown as accused.
Apart from Parnell, cricketer Rahul Sharma, TV actor Apurva Agnihotri, fashion designer Rocky S and former cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi's son Angad had also tested positive for drugs.
