As It Happened - India vs West Indies, 2nd ODI at Delhi

The next ODI is on tuesday at Visakhapatnam. The weather could be a concern over there with a cyclone hitting the coastal city today. We hope that residents stay safe and they could come on Sunday and enjoy some good cricket. The match is scheduled to start at 1430 local time. Do join us for the coverage. The Man of the Match award goes to Mohammed Shami. He picked up four wickets, conceding just 36 runs. He doesn't have a chat at the presentation.

In the first innings, Raina and Kohli kept India in the hunt for a decent total and the man who can be trusted always to finish, MS Dhoni completed the innings in fine fashion. The West Indies bowling was quite good for most part of the innings but lacked lethality. The series has got more interesting with the current status being 1-1.

India have fought back hard and clawed their way back in the series. They batted well on a wicket that was constantly slowing down and put up 263 on the board. West Indies began their chase very well. Smith and Pollard took West Indies to a winning position by laying the foundation in the chase. Pollard's promotion to number three nearly helped. The Indian spinners were taken to the cleaners early on but came back hard by crushing the middle order. Some of the batsmen threw their wickets away playing some irresponsible shots.

OUT! Rampaul is out and INDIA LEVEL THE SERIES 1-1! Banged in short on middle, Rampaul goes for the pull but top edges the ball to the mid-wicket region. Shami calls for the catch, asks the others to stay away and completes the catch with ease to give India the win.
