Additional police force for Kanpur ODI cricket match

India and West Indies will play an ODI at Green Park Stadium on November 27. A tight security cordon has been planned for.

Kanpur:

Additional police force has been made available to Kanpur for stepping up security at the Green Park stadium there for the One-Day International cricket match against West Indies on November 27.

"Two SPs, eight Additional SPs, 16 DySPs, 100 Sub- Inspectors, 12 companies of PAC, 4 companies of RAF and two teams of commandos and traffic police have been provided to Kanpur," IG law and order R K Vishkarma said here on Thursday.

This is in addition to the force available at the range and zonal levels, he said.

A company has roughly 100 personnel.
