He was presented with a silver plaque commemorating his achievements.
The 37-year-old played for Delhi from 1997 to 2014 before joining Haryana.

"I would like to thank all my captains, friends and coaches who have helped me to reach where I am. A big thanks to Ganguly, Dravid and Tendulkar for moulding me in my career," he said.
Sehwag became the first Indian to score a triple ton in Tests. He is also one of four cricketers to have scored two triple hundreds. He was part of India's World Cup winning team in 2011.

He had a reputation for being an aggressive batsman regardless of the format. Former teammate Anil Kumble, now a TV commentator paid a tribute to Sehwag.
"India's score is now 2 for no loss in three overs. If Sehwag was batting, it would have been 20 for no loss" he said after Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan had started cautiously against South Africa.
