The opener yet again proved to be thorn in India's flesh and looked in good touch from the word go as he smashed his way to a 78-ball century. But De Kock couldn't continue for long in the Mumbai heat as he was snapped by Suresh Raina for 109. (Hashim Amla Breaks Virat Kohli's Record, Becomes Fastest Batsman to Reach 6000 Runs in ODIs)ÂÂ
He reached the landmark with a single off Mohit Sharma in the 23rd over.
De Kock has been leading the run chart in the series with 318 runs so far from five innings. The southpaw had earlier hit a century during the third ODI in Rajkot, where he scored 103. South Africa won that game by 18 runs.
De Kock hit the boundary boards in the very first over when he smashed Bhuvneshwar Kumar through square leg.
He then turned the heat on Indian bowlers as he completed his half-century off just 42 balls. The 22-year-old reached to his half-century with a single towards covers of the bowling of Harbhajan Singh in the 13th over.
