Over 40 overs were lost on Day 1 of the Lord's Test between India and England due to rain, but the second day forecast offers better chances of a full day's play.
The forecast says that the weather at London will be partly cloudy with sunny intervals, however light rains could come later in the day. The early promise of the weather conditions could also mean that the two sides could make up for the time lost on Day 1.
Play had started late on Day 1 because of a wet pitch. The overcast conditions also offered assistance to Indian bowlers, who could not make the most out of the opportunity, courtesy a stubborn Jonathan Trott whose fifty ensured that England got through the day losing just two wickets.
