The Journey so far of the Celkon Mobile Tri-Series
Both India and Sri Lank seemed to silence West Indies' danger man Chris Gayle, who has not made any impact here in Trinidad. Sri Lanka who have been a consistently good side throughout the years always being in the in the mix of the semis or final, fought hard, dug deep and played some great cricket where the conditions were not favorable. They beat the hosts which guaranteed them a spot in the final of the Celkon Mobile Tri-Series.

As the result was becoming clear and the rain kept interrupting play the fans here in Trinidad started to desert the stadium, only the beautiful dancers remained with a few diehard fans to party the day away. It was also great to see a lot of Sri Lankan fans that flew all the way across the world to support their team proudly waving their national flag.
Going into the next ODI against India, Sri Lanka were playing for the 3rd straight day in a row and the weather was not looking good.
It was going to be an interesting match with a lot depending on the result, if India lost this they would be out and West Indies would qualify for the final and take on Sri Lanka. Another rain day forcing the over's to be reduced. In harsh conditions and much to the West Indies disappointment and the fans here, India's bowling attack was flawless and they won a must win match and proceeded to the final.
