The sun was shining once again, but a stiff wind picked up for the third round of the inaugural Turning Stone Resort Championship at the Atunyote Golf Club in Verona, New York on Saturday.

Second round leader Steve Flesch picked up where he left off with birdies at the 2nd and 4th holes to move to 15-under.

He almost had a hole-in-one at the 6th, but went on to make birdie again to lower his score to 16-under.

At 17, Flesch sunk another birdie and went on to card a six-under-par 66 to move out in front by four strokes at 19-under par. Carl Pettersson matched Flesch with a 66.

The Swede ended the day four strokes back in a share of second place at 15-under.
Tied with Pettersson is Charles Warren after a four-under-par 68.

Parker McLachlin, meanwhile, enjoyed a bogey free round of 65 - seven-under-par.
He is alone in fourth place at 13-under. One stroke behind McLachlin is Michael Allen.

Allen almost holed his tee shot at 16 on his way to a 68. Tied with Allen in fifth place is Bill Haas who sank a long birdie putt at 14 in a round of 69.

Australian Mathew Goggin carded a two-under-par 70 and is tied with nine others at 11-under in joint-seventh place.

Only one shot off the lead after two rounds, Brendon de Jonge fell off the pace after four bogeys through the first 11 holes.

The Zimbabwean managed to birdie the 18th, but his three-over-par round of 75 left saw him slip back to nine-under, 10 shots off the pace.
