Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is looking to add weight to his body after a successful but exhausting Italian Grand Prix. The Briton won the race at Monza.
Hamilton - according to his tweets - plans to hit the gym and go through his workouts with even more focus. 'Trying to get my weight back up a little.....currently 1kg up.....let's get it!! #noflexzone #timetoworkout'," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
In a demanding professional racing career, F1 drivers lose close to four kilos every race. It is this that has made Hamilton realise the need to add more muscle to his body frame with the fight for the drivers' championship title getting more intense.
In a tussle with teammate Nico Rosberg - the current championship leader, Hamilton had a troubled season in the run-up to the Italian Grand Prix. It was a technical mistake on Rosberg's part that allowed him to take top honours at Monza and now, Hamilton feels he should give himself every bit of edge that is possible.
