Madrid:

Barcelona could have midfielder Andres Iniesta back in time for next weekend's trip to Levante after the club revealed he had only suffered bruising on his left knee during their 0-0 draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Iniesta was withdrawn at half-time to make way for Lionel Messi having been on the end of a number of heavy challenges from Atletico players.

Fortunately, though, tests carried out on Sunday morning revealed there has been no serious damage done with his return to action dependent on how he recovers over the next few days.

The share of the spoils at the Vicente Calderon means both Barca and Atletico remain tied on points at the top of La Liga at the midway point of the campaign.
