Born on December 12, 1981 to former cricketer Yograj Singh and Shabnam Singh, Yuvraj had made his first appearance for India in 2000. Since then he has represented India in 274 ODIs, 37 Tests and 23 T20 Internationals. (See: Life in Pics)

Currently out of action while recovering from non-malignant tumour in his lung, the stylish southpaw is targetting the tri-series in Australia for his comeback.

Yuvraj, who was adjudged Man of the Tournament for his exceptional show in the ICC World Cup, got to know about his ailment soon after the tournament.

Over the years, Yuvraj has grown in to an effective all-rounder. But his match-winning abilities with the bat remains India's strength. (See: Best knocks)

Here's wishing the Prince of Indian Cricket a very Happy Birthday and a quick return to the cricket field! (Wish him)
