Rajkot:
There's bad news for the Indian cricket team getting ready for the five-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka, which starts on Tuesday.
India batsman Yuvraj Singh is a doubtful starter for the first one-dayer against Sri Lanka due to his finger injury.
Sources have told NDTV that Yuvraj Singh is certainly likely to miss at least the first two matches if not the entire five match ODI series as he picked up a fracture on a finger on his left hand.
Yuvraj, the star of the second Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka where he scored a breathtaking 25 ball 60 to help India win, picked-up a fracture in his left hand while fielding in the match.
An MRI scan was conducted when the team reached Rajkot on Sunday, which showed a fracture. Yuvraj has been ruled out for at least three weeks because of the injury, which means he will miss the series.
Earlier in the day, India and Sri Lanka teams arrived here for the first one-day international of the five-match series, beginning on Tuesday.
The teams arrived here on a chartered plane amid tight security.
