Bhopal:

Congress MP and former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin has said that he would be disappointed if India failed to win the 2011 Cricket World Cup being hosted by India alongside Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

"The present Indian team was a fine blend of talented youngsters and experienced campaigners who have the potential to lift the World Cup...I would be disappointed if they fail to do so," Azharuddin told reporters Sunday evening.

He said the biggest threat to India would come from Sri Lanka who have become a formidable following development in all departments of the game.

The former captain said there should be tougher rules to control match-fixing which was bringing a bad name to cricket.
