After much hype and drama surrounding new coach selection for the beleaguered IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders, Australian Dav Whatmore has been chosen for the controversial post, sources close to NDTV said.
The Australian, who cleared as head of National Cricket Academy by BCCI, will replace John Buchanan in the Kolkata outfit.
Whatmore has coached the 1996 World Cup winning Sri Lankan team and also the Indian U-19 World Cup winning team in 2008.
