The West Indies Cricket Board is "satisfied" with World Cup security despite its team bus being pelted with stones by local supporters following a match in Bangladesh.
The WICB released a statement from Antigua late Saturday saying that "while slightly shaken," the players were in "very good spirits" after Friday's incident in Dhaka, when two bus windows were cracked as the team left Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium following a lopsided win over co-host Bangladesh.
The WICB has moved to smooth over any bad feeling, saying its team has always been "warmly received" in Bangladesh and treated with "great hospitality."
"The WICB is satisfied with the security arrangements for the Cricket World Cup and the team management will continue to work closely with the event organizers and local officials to ensure that the safety and well being of the players remains paramount at all times," the statement said.
The West Indies squad traveled as scheduled to Mohali, in northern India, for its next Group B match against Ireland on Friday.
